meditating with objects

Aim: To decondition human perception and make the body more porous to the subtle animations of objects.

Method/score:

  1. Chose an object that calls out to you

  2. Position your body in relation to the object. Make contact.

  3. Close your eyes, if you prefer. Breathe. Meditate with it by

  4. Recalibrate your senses to that of the object. What does the object sense, touch, hear and see.

  5. Dissolve the ‘self’, as you attune to the perceptions and subtle animations of the object.

  6. Clear your mind of your own emotions or thoughts. There is no ‘I’ no ‘you’ no ‘it’. Dissolve into the other.

  7. Free writing or any medium of expression to record what you perceived, experienced and felt.
